Below is a copy of Austin's Energy Audit and Disclosure Ordinance. This law applies to homes in the City of Austin that are over ten years old, and that are served by Austin Energy.

The ordinance requires that houses for sale must inspected for energy efficiency, and the inspection report must be disclosed to potential buyers. 

You may want to review the Ordinance to understand your obligations.
