This close-in suburban area includes a diverse group of neighborhoods in southwest Austin, on the east side of Mopac and west side of IH 35. Each neighborhood has its own unique style and character. Homes were mostly built from the 1980's to brand new.
This is a well established area with some new growth. Growth has been limited because it is situated over the environmentally sensitive Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone. Lots are mostly between 1/6 - 1/4 acre and are generally flat. Trees are plentiful and mature.
This area is fully developed with nearby churches, shopping centers and restaurants. The overall ambience is of a close-in, established suburban area with affordable to upscale homes.
The 20 minute drive to downtown is a part of the appeal of the area. |
