Real Estate Area 1A - Central Northwest

Real Estate MLS Area 1A covers the neighborhoods north of RR 2222 and west of Loop 1. They include Northwest Hills, Highland Hills, Westover Hills, Cat Mountain, Cat Mountain Villas, North Cat Mountain, Vista West, The Courtyard, Shinoak Valley, Edwards Mountain, The Cliff Over Lake Austin.

Each neighborhood has its own unique style and character. Homes were mostly built throughout the 1960's- 1980's.

This is a very well established area with tree lined streets, sidewalks and a quiet setting. Lots are mostly about 1/4 acre and are generally hilly. Trees are plentiful and mature. This area is fully developed with many churches, shopping centers and restaurants. The overall ambience is of a close in, established suburban area.

The school district for this area is Austin ISD. Anderson High School, Murchison Middle School and Doss and Highland Park elementary schools serve the area.

The 10 to 20 minute drive to downtown or U.T. is an important part of the appeal of Real Estate Area 1A. Loop 1 gives quick access to north and south Austin.
